This Mok, Kom and Vessel emerged from a participatory exercise. An intimate setting where bounds between the body and object started to form and the object is marked with the body’s presence forever. We’re proud to present a collaboration that explores the sensual shapes of the female body through tableware designed by Fenia and Floor from Astera Ceramics formed during an intimate workshop. This experience was beautifully complemented by lingerie from Ella creating a unique aesthetic dialogue.
Almost literally set in stone we intentionally transform these objects into every day life dinnerware. With its purpose to connect further, through food.
Additionally we asked Jolien and Kato of ‘Het banquet’ to startkick this second transformative action. So as seen in the pictures, they started decorating with food. By each purchase of a Mok, Kom or Vessel, you get their recipe to create your very own plate of colors.
These objects are meant to be shared or used in a communal environment. Share the pleasure of food with friends, family and unplanned guests.
By buying a piece, you also support our action in giving free food at our events. So if you are unable to join or just want to give someone else a free food experience, you can support us from a distance.
Each piece will be made by hand by Astera Ceramics in Berchem. Orders made before the event will be produced as from 6th of June, after our event.
